Excuse the poor quality of this picture. I snapped it with my camera phone and into the sunlight no less. These two had a funny little conversation I found worth sharing.

Haley: (imagine this in her cute, little voice...and I will type the words how she pronounces them) Hey Jason! for Halloween you can be Bwues Cwues, and I am Dora, and Mommy can be the mommy and Daddy can be Swiper. Weeeeeeeeell, probably not. You can be Boots, I can be Dora, Mommy can be the mommy and Daddy can be hmmmm. Yeah, he be Swiper.

Jason: Wait. Haley who am I?

Haley: You're Bwues. Yeah, Bwues.

Jason: Am I Blues or Boots?

Haley: Oh yeah, you be Boots and I be Dora.

Jason: (with his arm around her shoulders taking her as serious as can be, talking to her like she is the most tender, precious thing) Haley, you can't be Dora. You're too pretty to be Dora. And you would have to cover your beautiful blonde hair with a wig. You need to be someone much prettier.

*a suspicious pause in the conversation*

Jason: (back to his normal tone of voice) Besides, you're pale, Haley. You need a serious tan.

Haley: I do??? Hey Jason?! We can really do it. We can be dat for Halloween.

So there you have it. She has bestowed our big, strong, all boy Jason to be a silly, little monkey named Boots and Haley just took my credit card from my purse and is on hold with Hollywood Tans Tanning Salon to book herself 6 months worth of spray tan appointments.

Jason said she needs a tan. And she takes her brother very seriously, you know.
